Ever want to know what it's like to move one and half million pounds of Kansas limestone? Just ask Dan Beck of south central Kansas. He and Chris take an organic approach to life to recycle and reuse. He doesn't like to mow the yard so there is only about a five foot square of green grass left in the front yard. Cast-off limestone from two nearby quarries have provided his artistic medium.

Dan cuts, carves and saws the native stone into exceptional sculptures in the front, back, and city right-of-way behind his house. Both Dan and Chris have decorated the house on the exterior and interior with bold splashes of color. A discarded electrical pole found it's way into their yard to become a totem pole. It was ornamented with poker chips and painted Venetian blinds.
