Lewis Bennett is a man's man. He has worked hard, long hours at multiple jobs throughout his life but always managed to take time to have fun along the way with family and friends. Lewis took welding in a high school shop class and found the skill just came easy for him. Lew's metal yard environment surrounds his rural home in south central, Kansas. He began in 1969, when he needed a mailbox and decided to create his personal metal welder/mail box.

He refers to the art he creates as "brain farts." Of course, if you raise Brahma cattle, you'd want to have a life-size metal Brahma in your pasture along with various other animals like a buffalo and horses. A noticeable sign in his farm welding shed states, "This is not Burger King, you don't get it your way. You take it my way, or you don't get a damn thing."
